fishing

I am the proud wife of Andrew.  On Saturday that just past we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary with a quick family trip overnight stay at Noosaville. We stayed at Cayman Quays. It was divine the only thing wrong with it was..... IT DIDN'T LAST LONG ENOUGH!!! It is always nice to get away and have a break from your life. And staying in a lovely 2 bedroom apartment at Noosa overlooking the river was just what the doctor ordered. (Next time I am asking for a bigger dosage though.)  We have been considering buying camping and fishing equipment for some time so that once we have it we can have our little escapes more frequently. YAY!! Although I must admit I dont have a problem with camping my preference will always be a lovely apartment over a tent. Anyway back to my point.... We have been umming and arrring as to if the kids were in fact old enough to go fishing yet? (Fia 5 and AJ 3.) Would they stay still and have the patience to fish without result? Would they even enjoy it? Well, before we left we ask the kids if they would like to try it.... They had told us with much enthusiasm that they had seen DORA fish before on Tv and knew all about it. Going with the enthusiasm we explained that it is a little different in real life and that you dont always catch fish, etc. But they were still excited as all get up, so off we went to BCF and bought them each a fishing rod. The princess picked a purple rod and the lil dude a blue one. Daddy bought a tackle-box, hooks, sinkers, etc. How very exciting.
After we arrived at the apartment and unpacked we headed off bought bait and went to the jetty.... Sophia loved everything about fishing except that we told her that she had to wear shorts and no princess dress. AJ whom we thought may have been a tad young  and not like it... loved it!! We had so much fun and look forward to going on many more successful fishing trips. We caught 9 fish!

5 more minutes

So i have the cutest lil fellow ever.
and his sister was in the bath tub.... She yells out "i am ready to hop out now" and AJ at the top of his lunges replies "5 more minutes".
What can you do but laugh, he even sounded just like i do when i sing it out each and every night.
I was in shock because you dont realise the things you say.
But dont worry you can count on your kids to tell you!

Mummy this is going to so much fun!

Amazing Day

Just had the most amazing thing happen......
went to do the grocery shopping (amazing i know) and it started bucketing down, (yay at least its not hot, amazing ha) and i put lil man in the car so he wouldnt get wet, then shut the door and i was wet anyway so i deceided to dance in rain. I hopped in the car and AJ said "Mummy you look beautiful when you are happy" (OMG you amazing boy i ♥ you so much) Then he said "it looks like a lot of fun can we do it together and be happy" So i jumped out the car and grabbed my boy out and dance in the rain around the car in the carpark at the shopping centre at winston glades and people looked and we didnt care we were too busy having fun and being beautifully happy.
Such an amazing and random fun adventure.

THIS JUST PROVES THAT THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE.
