Family

What does family mean to you?
there are so many different interpretations of the meaning of family.
To me family are the people you you love.
Obviously my family consists of my Husband. My beautiful princess and my Cheeky Boo (My children). They are the people whom i love the most. Then there is my Daddy dearest, and Connie his wife. I love them, and they are of course family. And then there is my Sister Amy. She frustrates me to no end at times (which i am sure goes both ways however i never seem to agree that she is justified on her end), and her beautiful babies Jody boy and Gorgeous Kendra. I love them, and they of course are family. There is my mother whom is undoubtedly family. My cousin Dale, he is family. After all he is the only Uncle my kids have. (And yes i know that he is my cousin and that therefore makes him a second cousin to my kids and not an uncle..... but you try telling him that. I Dare you.) So these people are all related to me by blood or marriage so most people would consider them family. But my family goes beyond blood and marriage. What about KY? she of course is family. You cant have an important role like BFF for 15 years without intergrading into someone's family. I even call her Mother, Mum. We are part of each others family. I found a quote the other day that sums it up. "A best friend is a sister that destiny forgot to give you." Well screw destiny she is my sister. Then what about Madonna and Keaty? Madonna is a great friend, but she is more than that she is family. And Keaty well he was family before he was born. (Madonna asked me to be a godmother to her son and form that moment on i would love that boy like he was one of my own.) So there are so many people that we love and not just for a day or a week.
To me Family is someone that you will love for a lifetime. No matter if you see them once a year, but talk on the phone every other day like me and Ky. Or if you spend every day together like my husband and kids. Family can be related, but they don't have to be. They just have to hold a place in you heart.
